Smitten Polish Winter is Coming

Hey everyone! I'm all snowed in here in Toronto, so I thought I'd write up a nice snowy evening post :) The city has basically shut down today with this intense snowstorm, so I got to work from home today and everything. It's literally been non-stop snowing since early this morning, it's crazy! If I were a kid this would have been the snow day of my dreams (assuming it's packing snow, of course).

Smitten Polish Winter is Coming is one of my favourite indies ever (I feel like I say that a lot...)! I've had it for a few months now and was going trying to save posting it for the premiere of Game of Thrones in March, but it was just too real today! Winter is HERE.

Winter is Coming is has a white crelly base with light blue hex micro-glitters. The combination of these colours and glitters give an overall cold and snowy apperance, which is perfect given its name and inspiration. If you don't watch Game of Thrones, "Winter is Coming" is the motto of the Stark family who live in the northern area of Winterfell.

Like most other white-based glitter polishes, Winter is Coming needed 3 coats for full coverage. I had no trouble getting the glitters out. The polish is on the thicker side, so the brush can get a bit too full if you're not careful.

The lighting in my pictures make the application look a bit uneven, but that's just from the position of the winter sun when I took them - in real life it looks perfectly smooth!

Since Games of Thrones is pretty much one of my most favourite things of all time, my love of this polish is such a no-brainer for me! Even if it wasn't Game of Thrones inspired I would still love it, the light blue glitters in the white base are just so pretty. And what better polish to commemorate this Snowmageddon with? :) If you're experience this storm stay safe and warm!

You can find Smitten Polish on sale both on Etsy and Llarowe. You can keep updated on Smitten Polish and future restocks and collections on the official Facebook page.

PS. My sister just sent me this picture of her car after the snowfall today...

  4. I can't even read the name of this polish without it making me think of Stark badassery! Do you read the books as well or just the show?

    1. I know right, isn't it so perfect? I've read all of the books too! :D Sansa's my favourite character (even though I know a lot of people hate her) and Storm of Swords is my favourite of the books, so I'm super excited for this season! Have you read the books? :)
