Who were your best-dressed of the night? I was loving the white and soft-coloured trend of this year's dresses, and Jennifer Lawrence's Dior was my favourite of the bunch. Fitting with the theme of those beautiful dresses, today I have a soft white polish to show you!
Smitten Polish Frost Fairies was released in this year's limited edition holiday collection, Smitten with the Holidays. Frost Fairies is a semi-sheer white jelly shimmer polish with blue/aqua shimmer. This one was hard to photograph, especially in the sun, so please keep that in mind for the photos below.
|Shade, 3 coats plus topcoat|
Frost Fairies, as described, is a semi-sheer polish, so even at 3 coats there is still some visible nail line. VNL is the reason I'm not a huge fan of sheers, but Frost Fairies is just so pretty! The blue shimmer is really unique and gives the polish a cool tone that is perfect for winter.
Formula was the usual greatness that I have come to expect from Smitten Polish. It's thick enough that makes it easy to work with, but is never gloopy. Although the sunlight photo makes it look a little streaky, I can assure you that after 3 (thin-medium) coats, it looked fine to the naked eye.
I don't usually go for sheer or plain white polishes, but there's something so refreshing about Frost Fairies that I find myself really liking. It reminds me of freshly fallen snow, or an icy pond in winter!
You can find Smitten Polish on sale both on Etsy and Llarowe. You can keep updated on Smitten Polish and future restocks and collections on the official Facebook page. Frost Fairies is sold out on Etsy, but it is still available on Llarowe!
Who were your best (and worst!) dressed at the Oscars last night? Were you happy with all of the winners? What do you think of Frost Fairies - yay or nay on semi-sheer polishes?
