Nicole by OPI Scarlett

Happy Monday! Did you all have a good weekend? I went to the Mandarin for my brother's birthday on Saturday night and ate waaaay too much food. I think the lemon chicken was my downfall. I didn't even make it to the ice cream bar...regrets.

Nicole by OPI Scarlett is the second polish I picked up from the new Selena Gomez collection. Scarlett is described by the company as a "shimmery red-violet", but to my eyes it's a definite red-leaning shimmery pink. It's actually much more pink than I was expecting, but once I adjusted my expectations I found that I really do like this colour!

Scarlett applied perfectly. The shimmery formula was the perfect consistency and it only took me two coats to reach opacity. The shimmer is really gorgeous, and leans from pink to metallic in the right light.

Even though Scarlett is a red-leaning pink rather than a pink-leaning red like I originally thought, I like this polish a lot! I read on The PolishAholic that this colour is very similar to OPI I'm All Ears from last year's Minnie Mouse collection, and since I missed out on that polish initially I'm happy to have Scarlett instead.

I remember in my post on Hit the Lights many of you were having trouble tracking down the Selena Gomez polishes - have they popped up yet? The two polishes from the collection I have are really great and definitely worth finding!
