Dollish Polish Expecto Patronum

I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was mixed...the Patriots lost yesterday so naturally I have plunged into my yearly mourning period that comes when we lose in the playoffs lately. One good thing about this weekend was that I went to a delicious Hungarian restaurant with some friends on Saturday night. I had the biggest piece of schnitzel I've ever seen in my life...YUM!

Today's polish is one of the first indies I ever fell for. Dollish Polish Expecto Patronum combines two of my favourite things ever: Harry Potter and nail polish (specifically white crelly glitters). Expecto Patronum is a white polish with green glitters generously sprinkled throughout. Bonus: every time I read the name of this polish I'm so tempted to intensely yell it like Harry in the Prisoner of Azkaban. :)

Expecto Patronum has the best formula out of all the white crelly glitters I've tried. It takes just two coats for perfect opacity and coverage. The glitter spreads so easily over the nail that the polish practically applies itself. Applying Expecto Patronum is just as easy as any creme or shimmer polish I've tried, that's how perfect it is (though important to note that removal is definitely NOT as easy, this is a glitter polish after all!).

The glitter in the bottle appears to have sunk to the bottom, but this doesn't affect application at all. I just gave it a little shake before painting my nails and it was good to go!

If you love Harry Potter and glitter, seriously, what are you waiting for?! It's a polish that repels Dementors, what more could you want? :)

Dollish Polish can be purchased from Big Cartel. Expecto Patronum is currently sold out, but you can keep updated on Dollish Polish and future restocks on the official Facebook page!

And so, I leave you with a picture of my schnitzel from the other night...after I had already been eating it for a good few minutes! It was so filling, but so good! Only reminiscing about delicious food and nail polish can bring me out of my football-induced sadness.

  3. I love the color combo! Looks icy! Did you know that the coaches of the patriots and ravens are brothers?
