China Glaze Peachy Keen

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was really nice - the Patriots won yesterday and right afterwards were the Golden Globes! Football and pop culture in one day...perfect.

It has been crazily, unseasonably warm here the past few days - it went up to 15 degrees! IN JANUARY! It has felt like March/April outside, and with all the spring polish collection announcements coming out lately, I've been dying to break out some pastels. And so, today I have China Glaze Peachy Keen to show you!

Cloudy, 2 coats plus topcoat

Peachy Keen is originally from China Glaze's acclaimed Up & Away collection, which was full of bright spring pastels. Peachy Keen is a difficult colour for me to describe. In the bottle it looks like a light peach pastel, but on me it definitely pulls darker and more orange. This is definitely a "peachy" orange though - it has that hint of dustiness and coral to it to stop it from looking like a ripe citrus.

This polish has a great formula. It's creamy, thick, and super easy to apply. I used two coats of polish and it covered perfectly.

While the orange and peach in this polish make Peachy Keen a bit more suitable for someone with a warmer skintone than me, I still really like this colour. As far as pastels go I'm more of a purple and blue girl myself, but this orange is a nice change from that! It certainly felt appropriate in these spring-winter days we've been experiencing lately.

Do you have any polishes from the Up & Away collection? How do you feel about spring colours in winter?

  1. Yay I looooooooooove Peachy Keen! It's such a fun color to wear and work with. And 15 degrees is warm?! Are we talking Celcius here? I'm in South Carolina and we've had warm weather too, yesterday hit 80!

  3. It's been unseasonably warm here too, but really foggy and dark though... hard to take photos. Hmmm, I did not know Canadians cared about American football? Interesting. I'm totally ignorant about football, LOL! Love the polish, BTW!

    1. Yeah, it's been like permanently cloudy here which makes photo taking so difficult :( LOL I'm glad you like the polish! NFL is pretty popular here, but since there are no home teams there's a pretty wide array of favourite teams, haha
